With a 6-1 victory over the Chowchilla Redskins on Thursday afternoon, the Liberty Hawks girls soccer team continues its run at a North Sequoia League title, improving its record to an unblemished 8-0.
Meanwhile, across campus, the boys soccer team allowed two goals in the final 15 minutes to lose a thriller to Chowchilla, 3-2.
Despite a lackluster performance, the girls soccer team scored four second-half goals to close out the Redskins.
"We have to start focusing right from the beginning," senior sweeper Stephanie Liuba said. "We need to start from the warm-ups. This isn't the first time it's happened. We're going to learn. We have two big games coming up."
