An extraordinary blend of high and low notes now reverberate daily from a home in the French Cove subdivision of Madera.

Even during a three-week stay in the United States, two musicians from I-Lan, Madera's sister city in Taiwan, practice every chance they get.

Pianist Ariel Lee, 16, and flutist Susan Wang, 15, will perform at 7 p.m. Friday at United Methodist Church, 500 Sunset Ave., in Madera.

Thirteen other students representing the Formosa Melody Music Center are staying, along with chaperones, in various Madera homes for two of the three weeks they are in the U.S. The highly talented group of student musicians performed together Tuesday in Madera.
