Madera senior citizens are being offered discounted tickets on Dial-A-Ride and Madera Area Express travel throughout the buses' service areas.

The suggested donation for a book of 10 tickets is $5. However, during February and March for $5 seniors will receive 20 tickets.

Residents must be 60 years of age or older to participate in the discount program.

According to Senior Division Supervisor Steve Showers, the cost of public transportation can be prohibitive for low-income older adults.
