OAKHURST - People with old books they're afraid to throw away because they might be worth a small fortune will have a chance to get them appraised for free on Saturday at Willow Bridge Books.

Book collector Byron Lewis of Oakhurst will evaluate books that are brought in to determine whether they're rare or just old. He's invited those who attend to bring up to five books for evaluation.

He will also present a talk, "Out of Print and Collectible Books," at 2 p.m. Lewis' goal is to teach book lovers how to identify books that are, or may become, an investment. He will be taking questions after the presentation.

Willow Bridge Books is an independent bookstore at 40044 State Route 49, Ste. 202. For information, call the bookstore, 692-BOOK (2665), or visit www.willowbridgebooks.com.
